Novel bendable, durable, and recyclable thermoplastic (TP) fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement for concrete structures
Novel bendable, durable, and recyclable thermoplastic (TP) fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement for concrete structures

M-ERA.NET is an EU funded network of 49 organizations from 35 European countries which has been established to support and increase the coordination of European research programmes and related funding in materials science and engineering.
M-ERA.NET aims to be a suitable tool to respond to societal challenges and evolving technological advances. An interdisciplinary approach enables knowledge transfer not only along the innovation chain, but also across application fields.
The M-ERA.NET consortium will contribute to the restructuring of the European Research Area (ERA) by operating as a single innovative and flexible network of funding organizations.
TOP-Crete Scope
The TOP-Crete project will deal with the improvement and optimization of the composition, production and bending process focusing on recyclability of bars.
Highly durable mechanical performance
One of the current challenges of the construction sector is to design and build highly durable structures with high mechanical performance so they can reach a longer lifetime …
FRP Embedded Reinforcement
Fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) embedded reinforcement constitutes a competitive alternative to conventional steel reinforcement …
Circular economy
By replacing the thermosetting resin by a thermoplastic resin, rebars can be bent after pultrusion, resulting in a reduction of construction lead times. …
Recyclability
Development of the first-ever embedded thermoplastic-based FRP reinforcement for reinforced concrete structures designed for recyclability and for …
